Welcome to the Amplify Access Training Program for Employers

Become a Leader and Change Maker in Your Organization

Be Part of the Solution

Put the 'A' in your organization's DEI strategy

Seize the opportunity to lead by example in your industry by making accessibility a core pillar of your business strategy.

While it's true that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to creating genuinely accessible and inclusive workplaces, there are standard accommodations that can be implemented in your organization to support employees who encounter communication barriers.

This program will introduce you to accessible strategies, tools, and technologies to transform your workplace into an inclusive and supportive environment. You'll also deepen your awareness and sensitivity to the unique experiences and challenges faced by individuals with hearing loss and deafness in and outside the workplace.

How the Program Works

Each course is designed for 1-hour self-study and features videos and interactive activities that will enhance your understanding of the lived experiences of individuals with hearing loss. In order to receive your certificate you must complete all four courses and the course evaluation.  This will ensure you are well equipped to support your employees and customers alike!

You'll be tested on your understanding of the content at the end of each course and will receive a certificate of participation once you complete the program.

What makes our courses unique?

Our online courses are designed to improve your ability to communicate with, respond to,  and provide equal opportunities to employees in your organization. You will develop a holistic understanding of the medical, cultural, and social impacts of  hearing loss and deafness on individuals and society.

Get ready to improve your knowledge as you develop a practical toolkit to help you build an inclusive workplace today!

The Accessible Canada Act (ACA) came into force in 2019. The overarching goal of the ACA is to realize a barrier-free Canada by 2040. The legislation benefits all Canadians, especially persons with disabilities, through the proactive identification, removal and prevention of barriers to accessibility in 7 priority areas.

Accessibility Standards Canada

Accessibility Standards Canada (ASC) is a department created in 2019 under the Accessible Canada Act.  They are committed to creating accessibility standards for federally-regulated entities and federal organizations. The standards in development are recognized as National Standards of Canada.
